Tao H., Veterinary Assistant

Tao joined the TruVet team in May 2025 to lend a helping hand during the busy summer months, and we’re lucky to have her! She brings valuable experience from general practice and a strong commitment to animal care as she works toward her ultimate goal: becoming a veterinarian.

Tao studied Equine Science as a pre-vet major at Otterbein University and is now in her first year at the prestigious UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Her passion for animals, calm presence, and eagerness to learn make her a joy to work with, and a future DVM to watch!

Outside of work and studies, Tao enjoys staying active with running and hiking, always finding time to recharge in nature.

At home, she shares her life with a lovable crew: Marmalade, her sweet senior Dachshund; Ruby, a spirited Pit Bull; and Holland, a bright and bouncy puppy she’s proudly raising for Canine Companions as a future service dog.

Tao’s time at TruVet is one more step in a journey filled with learning, growth, and a whole lot of heart. We’re thrilled to support her on her path to veterinary medicine!
