Payment Types
Appointments must be paid for in full at the time service is rendered. While we do not accept checks or provide any in-house financing, for your convenience, TruVet Specialty and Emergency Hospital accepts Cash, Mastercard, and Visa. We also accept CareCredit, Scratch Pay and Pet Insurance.
If your pet requires hospitalization or a medical or surgical procedure, an estimate will be provided outlining all the anticipated costs of diagnosis and treatment before hospitalization. The estimate will be reviewed with you and you will receive a duplicate copy for your records. A deposit at the low end of the estimate is required at the time of admission. We require that all charges be kept up to date on a daily basis. A member of the medical team will reach out to you each day that your pet is hospitalized to update you on charges and obtain an updated payment for the day’s charges if required.

Emergencies, injuries, and illnesses can happen and are typically associated with higher costs for diagnosis and treatment. Pet insurance may be a good option prior to an accident or illness because it reimburses you for unexpected expenses.
We are happy to assist you with completing your pet insurance claim form and will submit it directly to your insurance carrier with a copy of the applicable invoice and records. Please note, TruVet Specialty and Emergency Hospital is not affiliated and does not specifically endorse any particular pet insurance. Nor will we accept, or attempt to collect any form of payment from any insurance company.
