Patricia P., Specialty Coordinator
Patricia comes to us with a lengthy background in animal care as well as veterinary medicine, with 8 years under her belt in GP and 2 in Specialty/ER. She has truly run the obstacle course of job titles, from reception, tech assistant, pharmacy tech and even spreading into veterinary acupuncture and the canine boarding/daycare circuit before finally joining us as a valued Specialty Coordinator this year.
With an extensive stack of certifications under her belt, Patricia is a graduate of the Carrington College Pharmaceutical Tech Program, and has plans to pursue a business degree in the future. She previously held her CPR certification and her pharmacy technician license and currently holds her VACSP controlled substance license, making her a well rounded member of our team.
Patricia expanded her love of animals by volunteering at the Kindred Spirits Fawn Rescue in Loomis, CA as well as volunteering at animal shelters, where she showed off her photography skills (also her side hustle) by taking adoption photos for the adoptable pets. Along with spreading humanitarian efforts for animals with her photography, Patricia also specializes in family and pet photography sessions- talk about quite the Jill of all trades!
Outside of her myriad of interests, Patricia shares her life with her beloved pets; an Italian Greyhound named Dottie, her Chihuahuas Violet and Honey, and her cats Salem and Luna, a Norwegian forest cat and calico mix respectively.
She feels that the most inspiring part of her job is being an advocate for animals who can’t advocate for themselves. Educating and helping clients navigate pet ownership feels essential to her position as Specialty Coordinator. Lastly, she’d like to pass on the message to anyone looking to enter the veterinary medical field- don’t be afraid to shine. We all learn from each other and you can never stop growing as a professional.
