Carson D., Registered Veterinary Technician

Meet Carson, our fantastic Registered Veterinary Technician who joined TruVet in September 2021! Before diving into small animal emergency and specialty medicine, Carson spent four exciting years in equine medicine. With eight years in the veterinary industry, she’s a seasoned pro.

Carson completed the RVT program at SRJC and holds Fear Free and CPR certifications. In her free time, she’s all about adrenaline: horseback riding (especially barrel racing and trail riding), snowboarding, and wake boarding. She’s also a travel enthusiast and even works as a travel advisor!

Carson shares her home with her husband, their energetic dog Pepper (a mix of Labrador, Shepherd, Pit Bull, and German Short haired Pointer), and two playful kittens, Brisket and Rocket, who are hilariously outnumbered by eight chickens.

What excites Carson the most about her job? The fascinating science of veterinary medicine. She believes that understanding the science behind it all really shows the difference you’re making.
