Veterinary Technician/Assistant

Currently looking for night staff only

The purpose of this position is to assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care in all areas of our emergency practice. We welcome individuals who not only have a strong foundation in the fundamentals of veterinary medicine but also have a wealth of experience in the areas of emergency and critical care. These duties include, but are not limited to:

Triage of patients coming in on emergency
Assisting with treatments and administration of medications to critically ill patients
Drug calculations (including CRI) and set up
Controlled drug handling
Anesthesia of critically ill patients
Assisting in surgery and endoscopy procedures
Advanced veterinary nursing care
Advanced phlebotomy skills including central lines

Care of urinary catheters, NG tubes, and chest tubes
Monitor anesthetized or sedated patients for various procedures
Managing patients on oxygen
Blood product administration
Familiarity with CPR for animals
Client education
Filling medications
Discharging patients

Job Type: Full time. Salary commensurate with experience

Experience: Minimum 2 years experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant

We are hiring for day, overnight, and weekend positions.
