Sarah G., Veterinary Assistant

Sarah has been rocking the veterinary world for almost 10 years and has been at TruVet since October 2021. She’s a pro in general practice, emergency care, and multiple specialties. Growing up in a medical family (with a doctor uncle and nurse mom), Sarah’s journey started in human medicine, but her love for animals led her to the veterinary field. She also had a stint in customer service, including managing a pet store – talk about a well-rounded experience!

Sarah’s passion for animals extends beyond her job. She’s previously volunteered at the Sonoma County Humane Society during her school summers and partially completed the Vet Tech program at SRJC. She’s always eager to learn and grow in her field.

When she’s not caring for pets, Sarah loves hiking and exploring all the beautiful trails Sonoma County has to offer. Weekends are for local festivals and farmer’s markets. Staying active is her jam – she’s always up for trying new workouts and classes.

Sarah and her husband have been together since college, married for 10 years, and are in the exciting process of adopting their first child, a baby girl, through fostering. Their family also includes Penny, a 9-year-old mix of pit bull and boxer, and a flock of adorable chickens.

For Sarah, the most inspiring part of her job is inpatient care. She loves getting to know her patients and watching them make a full recovery – it’s incredibly rewarding.
