Nicole Owens, Veterinary Technician
I was born and raised in San Francisco. I have been around dogs my whole life thanks to my grandparents who breed and show dogs. I am active in the dog show community and started showing dogs at the age of nine. Since then my love for not only dogs, but animals in general, has grown tremendously. I started working in the veterinary field as a veterinary technician in 2014. I have a huge heart for the patients and the work that I do. The most rewarding part of my job is the treatment I provide to my patients and seeing them recover. When I am not at work I enjoy quality time with my boyfriend and our three dogs: Mamba an 8yr old GSD, Chantrelle a 5yr old pit bull mix and Ahi a 7 month old GSD mix. Mamba and I volunteer as a therapy team that visits senior homes, children’s hospitals and care centers. I have also taken steps to train Chantrelle and Mamba to become Canine Good Citizens which are certified through AKC. I worked with German Shepherd Rescue of Northern California as a foster parent before adopting my youngest dog. My family and I reside in Napa and get to enjoy the great views, food and hikes it has to offer.
