Mirella C., RVT, Education Manager

Meet Mirella, our amazing Registered Veterinary Technician and Education Manager at TruVet since August 2023! With a heart full of passion and a wealth of experience, Mirella oversees the professional development of our technical staff, ensuring they’re always at their best.

Mirella’s journey in the veterinary world began in 2013 as a volunteer for Forgotten Felines, where she spent two years making a difference. She then became a veterinary assistant for Sonoma County Animal Services for a year before diving into the exciting world of veterinary emergency overnight patient care.

Armed with an associate’s degree in animal health from the SRJC RVT program, Mirella is Fear Free certified and a proud member of the Redwood Empire Veterinary Technician Association. When she’s not working, she loves hiking, camping, outdoor adventures, art, painting, and making jewelry. She also has a special soft spot for old Chihuahuas.

Mirella’s home is filled with love, shared with her husband, two kitties named Linda and Vato, and her beloved geriatric Chihuahua, Chika.

The most inspiring parts of Mirella’s job are teaching critical thinking skills, guiding new technicians in the ways of veterinary medicine, and nursing critical patients back to health so they can return home.

Her advice to potential candidates? There’s always room to grow, and every day brings new learning opportunities.
