India McEvoy, DVM

Dr. India McEvoy is a native to Sonoma County where she spent her childhood riding horses, raising livestock, and learning the ropes of veterinary medicine from her veterinarian father. She attended the University of Delaware and completed her undergraduate degrees in chemistry and animal science. Following this, she moved to Pennsylvania, then Florida to ride and train race horses before returning to California to attend UC Davis Veterinary School. Upon completion of her veterinary degree, she spent a year at East Bay Veterinary Specialists completing a rotating internship to further her studies of veterinary medicine. Since completing her internship, her career has focused on both general practice and emergency care. She worked at and became the medical director of her family’s general practice in Sonoma County for several years before deciding to join the Truvet team to focus her work on emergency medicine.

In her free time, Dr. McEvoy enjoys riding her horses and spending time with her husband, son, and their dog, Oliver.
